Marble nails

Start painting your nails with a white nail polish.

Tape up your fingers. The idea is to protect your skin so your fingers aren't covered in polish when you dip them in the water.

Fill your cup with room temperature water and drop a dot of polish into center of the cup. Then drop the next color directly in the center of the first color.  The next color goes in the middle of the last one and so on.

To create the marble design use a toothpick.

When you think your design is ready. Dip your nail into the water and  clean the surface of the water with a toothpick.

When you finish all your fingers. Remove the tape.

Sponge glitter nails

New year's eve fireworks inspired me to create this design. :-)

Start with a basecoat to protect your nails. Follow with 1 or 2 coats of your nude polish. Allow to dry.

Get a sponge. Paint the corner with black nail polish and then dab the sponge in the edge of the nail.

Next apply your glitter nail polish and sponge it to your nails.

Finish with a topcoat to protect your design.

Pink leopard nails

Following trends I always wanted to try the animal print on nails, but instead of doing the traditional browns and golds I used something more exotic as hot pink. Of course you can do them in any other color like green or purple. This time I used: hot pink nail polish for the base and blue, purple and black for the dots effect.

Start painting your nails with the hot pink. Paint two coats on each nail and let dry.

I used the dotting tool to do the spots, but remember for this design you don´t have to be perfect so you can use a tooth stick or a fine nail art brush. Make four or five random spots with the blue nail polish.

Then, continue with the purple nail polish.

To give the leopard look to your nails, use the black polish and with a fine brush or dotting tool outline the spots you have created tracing "C" shapes around them.or create a more sporadic outline.

Let dry before finishing with a top coat.
